Sarah
A Bit About Me
Sarah has taught ballroom dance in the Oklahoma City area since 2013, following her time as a TA in the Ballroom Dance classes at OU. She has competed with her students in competitions across the US and in Canada, bringing home multiple Top Student and Top Teacher awards. Competing and performing Pro/Am with her students is one of her favorite parts teaching dance.
Sarah has trained with US and World Champion dance professionals in a range of styles from ballroom and latin to swing to country western, and she is a 2023 National Champion in country western. In 2021, Sarah had the amazing opportunity to work on the blockbuster film "Killers of the Flower Moon" with one of Hollywood’s most esteemed choreographers. Sarah has also trained State and National pageant titleholders on their stage work.
Her community involvement includes fundraisers for OKC Beautiful, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, the Children’s Miracle Network, the Edmond Chamber of Commerce, and the Oklahoma Jewish Federation. Sarah also works with Forever Yours, a local foster-based dog rescue for some of their events, including photographing the adoptable dogs. She studied Photography at the University of Oklahoma, and recently took an intensive sewing curriculum in order to design, sew, and rehab ballroom dance costumes.
Sarah loves the challenge of taking her students out of their comfort zones and showing them they can do anything.
