Raven

The daughter of a National Champion in Ballroom and Latin, Raven has been dancing since she could walk. Raven enrolled in dance at the age of 2 in styles including Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. She started training and competed with her father in Ballroom and American Rhythm from ages 6 to 13. From the age of 13, she competed with her dance company, Artistic Dance Concepts, in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, and Hip hop. She traveled across the region competing with, and learning from, nationally recognized choreographers including Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, snappy Tabs, Twitch, and Laurianne Gibson from So You Think You Can Dance. ​

After graduating, she moved to the DFW area to work with Fred Astaire Studio, training, teaching, and competing Pro/Am in Ballroom, Rhythm, Latin, Smooth, Country Western, and Swing for 13 years. Raven is an esteemed professional in both Ballroom and  Country dance circuits with her Pro/Am students. Her student have brought home Top Student awards and contributed to her own Top Teacher awards. She won first in her Division at her very first Line Dance Competition in 2023—an incredible feat! She also has students who have achieved National Champion titles in Country Western and Line.

Raven challenges and nurtures her students on the dance floor, whether they are social dancing, competing, or learning to dance for their wedding. She is known for her exciting choreography and energetic showcase routines. Her focus on precision and performance while still having fun makes her an outstanding professional.

As a twin, Raven has always been close with her family. In addition to the gift of dance, her family has blessed her with incredible cooking skills. When she’s not on the floor, she can usually be found prepping a delicious meal to share with her honey.
